Prerequisites for using Bulk Upload Images
Before we begin, you must ensure the following:
- Your Auction is in at least Preview status
- Your Items have been converted from Ghost Status to Preview Status
- Your image files have been renamed based on the Bulk Match structure (e.g. image files for Lot 1 must be 1.jpg, 1-1.jpg, 1-2.jpg, etc.)
Accessing and Using the Bulk Upload Images menu
Once you’ve fulfilled the requirements for using Bulk Upload Images, you’ll now need to navigate to the menu itself. Since your Item lists are segmented on a per-Auction basis, each individual Auction houses it’s own dedicated Bulk Upload Images menu.
Step 1: Navigate to the Bulk Upload Images menu
After logging into the Webtron Dashboard, click on the Auctions & Items dropdown in the sidebar, then click View Auctions:
If you haven’t already, enable the Preview filter by clicking on the yellow Modify Filter button at the top-left of your screen, tick Preview under the Status section, then click the green Apply button at the bottom of the menu:
Once your Auction appears, click on the title of your Auction to open the Auction Details menu:
Then click on the Bulk Upload Images shortcut at the top of your screen:
Step 2: Click Choose Files or drag your image files into the Bulk Upload Images panel
Once the Bulk Upload Images menu appears, you have two options. You can either click the Choose Files button and select your Image Files via your File Explorer/Finder:
Or, open a separate File Explorer/Finder window, select your Images Files, hold left-click and drag your files into the rectangle area on the Bulk Upload Images menu. When the rectangle turns yellow, release left-click to drop your files into the uploader:
The Bulk Upload Images menu will now display a preview list of all of the files you have selected, and a green Upload button will appear on the right-hand side of your screen. Click Upload to proceed:
Step 3: Review any errors and check your Item List
Your Image files will now start uploading and, depending on the number and size of your files, this may take a few minutes. A progress bar will appear at the top of your screen, and whilst finalising the upload, the Bulk Upload Images will highlight each file and confirm if it has successfully been uploaded and match to a Lot:
If there are any issues with your upload, the Bulk Upload Images menu will highlight the affected files and state a reason why the upload failed, most commonly a failure to match the file to an existing Lot:
Once you’ve reviewed the results of the upload, click on the Items shortcut at the top of your screen to open the Items List:
The Item List will confirm if an item has any attached images by highlighting the icon under the Images column in green. You can review individual item photos by clicking on an item’s title:
