Alec Young Pre-release Checks
After we or your developers deploy the Portal code on your website, we jump in and run a checklist to verify all core Portal functions are looking and behaving as expected. We typically request 48-72 hours to run the Certification process, after which we will confirm that your Portal is ready and can be displayed publicly (pending your Terms and Conditions are in place).
This guide outlines our full Certification checklist, as well as how we handle items that fail our function or styling checks.
Portal Certification Checklist – June 2026 Template

We break Portal Certification up into 3 stages:
- Core Account and Navigation Functions
- Core Bidding and Buying Functions – Split by Auction Type
- Stage 2A – Timed Auctions and the Marketplace
- Stage 2B – Webcast Auctions (Pre-Bidding and Live Bidding phases)
- Navigation and Styling Pass
Portal Certification – Stage 1 – Core Account and Navigation Functions

Portal navigation buttons are clickable and destination pages open successfully
Create Account form can be completed
Account Activation Link re-opens Portal successfully
Log In form can be completed successfully
Auction Registration can be completed successfully (including User Verification, if applicable)
Essential Information and View Terms & Conditions panels can be opened, scrolled-through and closed
Search All Lots returns results and clicking a result opens the Item Details page successfully
Search by Lot ID returns results and the Category dropdown is clickable and displays Categories successfully
Lots per Page, Clear Filters, and the All, Starred, Winning, and Losing filters are all clickable and filter the Item Catalogue successfully
Gallery and List View buttons are clickable and re-render the Item Catalogue successfully
Item Title and View Details links are clickable and open the Item Details page successfully
View All Listings, Previous Listing and Next Listing buttons are clickable and open the Item Catalogue or next Item Details page successfully
Item Photo Gallery is clickable, Previous and Next image buttons are clickable and Zoom function works as expected
Live Bidding Item Title and Photo Gallery are clickable and open the Item Photo Gallery panel successfully
Live Bidding Item Photo Gallery’s Previous and Next image buttons are clickable and Zoom function works as expected
Live Bidding Item List appears, is scrollable, Open and Closed tabs are clickable and operate successfully
Live Bidding Sale Information panel and sub-options appear and are clickable
Show Starred Only option appears, is clickable and filters the Open and Closed tabs successfully
My Account button is clickable and opens the My Settings menu succesfully
My Settings fields are clickable and editable, and both the Cancel and Save Settings buttons are clickable and save account changes successfully
Log Out button is clickable and action runs successfully
