We recommend having your Xero account fully set up and subscribed to the Grow plan at a minimum before proceeding with this guide.
Short Answer: We do most of the heavy lifting for you
Good news everyone, connecting your Xero account to your VendorPlus is a very straightforward process that takes less than 2 minutes, here’s what you need to do:
Step 1: Log into your Xero account
To start this process, you’ll first need to log into your Xero administrator account, you can do this by clicking the link below:
Login – Xero Accounting Software
Step 2: Navigate to your Organisation Settings
Once you’ve logged in to Xero, look to the top-left of your screen and click on the name of your organisation – this is typically the company or trading name you set when creating the account – then under Files, click Settings:
Step 3: Open your Users list and invite Webtron
During the initial setup process with Xero, we’ll provide you with the correct email address to use to invite us to join your Xero account, but if you can’t find it, request it again via the Get in Touch page here
After you click Settings, you’ll land in the Organisation Settings menu, at the top of the menu you’ll find the General section, click on the Users option in that list (2nd option from the top):
This will display the list of Users tied to your Xero account, at the top-right of this menu click the blue Invite button:
You’ll then need to assign us with the Standard privilege, as well as Reports (All), Banking, Connect Apps, then click Confirm:
And that’s it
Yes, really. We’ll accept the invite and handle the rest of the connection process in the background, then let you know once that is complete and we can move forward with training you and your team on using VendorPlus’ Xero features and One-Touch invoicing.
We will only access your Xero account during the initial setup phase, to run our connection certification checklist and to diagnose any issues you raise. Please do not reduce or remove our account from your Xero’s Users list, as this will break the connection between your VendorPlus and Xero, preventing any further invoices or Vendor Statements from being synced.
