Definition – Evict is a function that clears and rebuilds the Server Cache for that Auction or the selected Items, if done at an Auction level it clears and rebuilds the Server Cache for the entire Item list. Put simply, the Server Caches your Auction and Item information (including Images) to allow for faster page loading in the Dashboard and on your Portal when accessing your Item list and each Item’s details. Clicking Evict will instruct the Server to rebuild the Cache, the larger your auction (in terms of total number of Items + Images and Attachments) the longer the Evict process will take. We do not recommend hitting Evict unless you are seeing error messages when trying to access your Item list, Evict is the last resort and may cause the Auction or the Items in that Auction to become unavailable for your Bidders if your Auction is in Live Status. Please contact us directly via support@webtronoa.com before attempting to Evict any Auctions or Items.
