Credited Line Items – Before following this guide, ensure all but 1 Items are credited from an Invoice, as Invoices can only be credited when they contain only 1 Line Item.

Crediting Invoices

As a quick reminder, attempting to credit the last or only Item on an Invoice will prompt you to instead Credit the entire Invoice. The blue Credit button for an Invoice will appear under the Actions column inside the Generated Invoices only once that Invoice is in Approved status and contains only one Line Item. This is to prevent an newly generated or edited Invoices from being Credited.

Step 1 – Crediting an Invoice is a simple process, once you have the Invoicing menu open and your Invoice is in Approved status, click the blue Credit button under the Actions column, the Dashboard will show the About to Credit Invoice panel asking you to confirm your intent to Credit the Invoice. Click the blue Credit Invoice button at the bottom of the panel to proceed.

Step 2 – The Dashboard will now display a preview of the Credited Invoice in the form of a Credit Note. You have the option to both Print/Save the Invoice as a PDF, and also send the Credit Note to the Buyer. Both actions are optional.
