Viewing and Managing your Bidders (Users)

v1.0.0

This section of guides covers viewing your Bidder List in the Webtron Dashboard, as well as the various Bidder Management options:

  • Accessing your full Bidder List
  • Searching your Bidder List with the Modify Filter panel
  • Manually Activating a Bidder’s account
  • Editing a Bidder’s profile details (First Name, Last Name, Email Address, External Ref. Number)
  • Banning/Locking a Bidder’s account
  • Viewing Bidder Auction Registration and Invoice Histories
  • Viewing a Bidder’s profile updates history (Audit Trail)
  • Whitelisting and Red Flagging a Bidder’s account
  • Adding Activity Notes to a Bidder’s account
Terminology Note – As with other guides concerning Bidders, we use the terms Bidders and Users interchangeably, as Users is the universal term for both Bidders and Buyers, but Bidders is the more common terminology. If you’re confused whenever one of the guides says “Users” instead of “Bidders”, don’t worry, both terms mean the same thing, it’s just some areas of the Dashboard use the term “Users” instead of “Bidders”.

Users & Groups – Restricted Access

As with other sensitive areas of the Webtron Dashboard, access to the Users & Groups > Users menu is restricted to your Admins with Webtron Admin Tier 4 or higher.

The option to export your Bidders is also restricted to Webtron Admin Tier 5, meaning only admins with the highest access tier can generate Bidder CSV export spreadsheets.

Each of the pages, menus and options for Bidder Management are mapped out below, with each of the guides in this chapter going into greater detail. If you get stuck trying to find any of the Bidder Management options, we recommend referring back to the scenarios and paths listed below.

As a quick reminder, we use Navigation Paths as quick maps from Point A to Point B inside the Webtron Dashboard, with Navigation Paths being split into two types, Click Paths and Visual Paths:

Click Paths look like this:

Click the blue Users & Groups dropdown, then click the Users option. Once the Users menu loads, look to the left-hand side of the page and click the yellow Modify Filter button above the Bidder List table.

Click Paths will describe where you need to click in a bit more detail, pointing out where to look, how each click appears (as a dropdown, button, link etc.) and highlighting each step with bold text.

Visual Paths will look like this:

Users & Groups > Users

Visual Paths follow a colour key:

Per-Auction – This badge will indicate if a path leads to a per-Auction or Auction-specific destination, such as one of the Auction Sections.
Blue – The starting point and page names along the path
Orange – A table, button or option on a page you need to interact with to proceed to the next step
Green – The name of the destination page or option

Bidder Management Starting Point – Bidder Management involves a using the Modify Filter panel in the Users menu quite a bit, so for most scenarios (with the exception of the first) we’ll be using the Users & Groups > Users menu as the starting point for each Navigation Path.
