Context Category – Core Functionality Terminology.
Terminology Category – Universal Term, Webtron Dashboard Terminology.
Alternate Terms – Auction Registration controls, Bidder Registration controls, Registrant controls, Registration Status controls.

Bidder Registration Status controls refer to the buttons and options available inside the Webtron Dashboard’s Auction Registrations menu. Each individual Auction has it’s own Auction Registrations menu, and the Bidder Registration controls found within this menu enable a Dashboard Admin to manage Bidder registration statuses, which in turn control whether a Bidder has the ability to place bids on that specific Auction.

Unintended Notifications – Using any of the Registration Status controls defined below will send that Bidder a notification email. If you have not used these controls before, please get in touch with support@webtronoa.com to ensure the email template sent to the Bidder is customised to your intended wording.

The specific buttons/controls are defined below:

Bidder Registration Status controls definitions

The following definitions are separated by their location inside the Auction Registrations menu;

Registration Status controls and additional options above the Registrants table:

  • Modify Filter (Auction Registrations menu) – Similar to the Modify Filter panels that appears in various other parts of the Webtron Dashboard, the Modify Filter panel here enables you to filter through several options unique to the Auction Registrations menu, such as;
    • Registered between (Dates range)
    • Username
    • External User Ref
    • Email
    • First Name
    • Surname
    • Company (Company Name)
    • Bidder Registration status (Pending, Approved, Suspended, Awaiting Deposit, Insufficient Data, and Issue with Deposit)
  • Approve Selected Users (Registration Status control) – the Approve Selected Users control appears as a grey button above the Auction Registrants table, enabling you to bulk approve all Bidders selected via the checkbox on the left-hand edge of the table. Approving will move a Bidder’s Registration Status from their previous status (likely either Pending or Suspended) to Approved status.
  • Request Deposit From Selected Users (Registration Status control) – the Request Deposit From Selected Users control appears as a grey button above the Auction Registrants table, enabling you to bulk request deposit from all Bidders selected via the checkbox on the left-hand edge of the table. Deposit management is not currently supported in the Webtron Dashboard, we do not recommend using this feature.
  • Export These Registrants (Webtron Dashboard Export) – the Export These Registrants option appears as a blue button above the Auction Registrants table, in this context it is less a Registrant control and more an option to export and review your Registrants in spreadsheet form. Clicking Export These Registrants will export only registrants matching your current Modify Filter settings.
  • Export All Registrants (Webtron Dashboard Export) – the Export All Registrants option appears as a blue button above the Auction Registrants table, in this context it is less a Registrant control and more an option to export and review your Registrants in spreadsheet form. Clicking Export All Registrants will export all registrants for this Auction, regardless of you Modify Filter settings.

Registration Status controls found inside the Registrants table under the Auctions column:

  • Approve (Registration Status control) – Approve is a contextual Registration Status control that will appear under the Actions column for each Bidder that is any other Registration Status other than Approved. Clicking Approve will move that Bidder’s Registration Status to Approved and enable them to bid on that Auction.
  • Request Deposit (Registration Status control) – Request Deposit appears as a blue button under the Actions column in the Auction Registrations menu. Clicking Request Deposit will move the Bidder’s Registration Status to Awaiting Deposit status. Deposits cannot be actioned or serviced through the Webtron Dashboard, we don’t recommend using this control.
  • Request Further Information (Registration Status control) – Request Further Information appears as a blue button under the Actions column in the Auction Registrations menu. Clicking Request Further Information will move a Bidder’s Registration Status to Insufficient Data status. Bidders will receive an email notification customised to your wording, inviting them to reply to said email with the requested information.
  • Suspend (Registration Status control) – Suspend appears as a blue button under the Actions column in the Auction Registrations menu. Clicking Suspend here will move a Bidder’s Registration Status to Suspended status, instantly preventing them from placing any further bids on this auction. They will also receive an email notification informing them of their suspension from bidding.

The Bulk Edit button is located above the Item table in the Item List menu for each Auction and is used to Edit multiple Items, sharing a similar function to the Create New Items menu and Item Upload spreadsheet. Bulk Edit also provides access to the Attachments upload menu for additional Images, Documents, and Videos. You can ask me what each column in Bulk Edit means and also how to Group Edit Items (add matching details to multiple Items).

Buyer’s Premium

Buyer’s Premium – Buyer’s Premium refers to the percentage and function to set a Buyer’s Premium in the Webtron Auction Management Dashboard. You can set a Buyer’s Premium on an auction-by-auction basis in the General Settings tab or set a default percentage in your Auctioneer profile. Setting an Amount instead of a Percentage can only be done in the Invoicing phase post-sale.
