Moving between Auction Statuses
As a quick refresher, there are 5 distinct Auction statuses for Timed Auctions:
- Draft
- Preview
- Live
- Reconciliation
- Archived
This guide covers the process of moving a Timed Auction from Preview to Live status.
As a general tip, we recommend avoiding ticking Save as Draft when creating a new auction. Draft is a redundant status that largely mirrors Preview, without the added benefit of being able to Create or Upload Items to said auction.
Timed Auction Status – Preview to Live
Moving an Auction from Preview to Live status is also known as Approving a Timed Auction, to do this we’ll be using the blue Approve button that appears under the Actions column for every Auction in Preview status.
To move an Auction from Preview status to Live status, all you have to do is open the Auctions & Items > View Auctions page, click the blue Approve button under the Actions column on the right-hand side of the page, then click Confirm.
Auction Status and Modify Filter – If your Auction is not appearing on the View Auctions page, remember to click the yellow Modify Filter button at the top-left of the page, tick PREVIEW, leave LIVE ticked and click the blue Apply button at the bottom of the Modify Filter panel. If you have any Auctions in Preview status, they will now appear inside the Auctions table.
