The Room Screen is a special Webcast Screen that will display the following:
The Lot currently in the ring
Lot Title
Lot Summary and Description
The Current Highest Bid
Bid Origin (Floor or Internet)
Bid Amount converted to other selected currencies
The Asking Price (the next bid)
Additional Event Branding
Your Auctioneer Logo
The Auction Title
All options listed above can be enabled or disabled by the clerk at any point during your Webcast Auction.
Opening the Room Screen
To do so, navigate to the Auctions & Items > View Auctions menu, then click on the Shortcuts button on the right-hand side of the Auctions table:
Inside the Shortcuts list, click on Webcast:
The Webcast Clerking Console will now load. Look to the top-right of the Clerking Console and click on the Auction Controls & Stream Settings tab. Inside the Auction Controls & Stream Settings tab, across the top you’ll find a row of 4 buttons, click on the Room Screen button (2nd option from the left):
The Room Screen will now open in a new tab. If there is no Lot currently in the ring, the Room Screen will display a “The Auction Will Begin Shortly” message.
Once your first Lot is sent into the ring, the Room Screen will display the Lot Number and Lot Title across the top-left of your screen, the Lot’s images will rotate on the left-hand side, the Current Highest Bid and Bid Origin in the lower centre and display the Summary and Description for this Lot on the right-hand side of your screen:
Customising the Room Screen
At the top-right of the Clerking Console you’ll find the Xg Rates and Room Screen Settings tabs respectively:
The Room Screen Settings tab controls which elements on the Room Screen are hidden or visible, with these elements being toggleable to be visible or hidden by your Clerk at any stage of your Webcast Auction:
Auction Title
Lot Number
Lot Title
Summary
Description
Bid Amount (Current Highest Bid)
Asking Amount (Asking Price or Next Bid)
Logo (Your Auctioneer Profile Logo)
Currency Conversions
Bid Origin (Floor or Internet)
Ticking or Unticking any of the elements listed above will instantly hide or show that element, no refresh required:
Displaying converted Currency Values on the Room Screen
Next to the Room Screen Settings tab, you’ll find the Xg Rates tab. Xg Rates enables you to set up to 4 other Currencies and their current Conversion Rate (which can be retrieved via Google). After setting the Currencies and their respective Conversion Rates, the clerk can click Set Rates and the converted bid amounts will appear beneath the Bid Amount on the Room Screen:
