We’ve built a new Stripe Bidder Verification module that can be added to your Portal to help automate the Bidder Verification process for you and your team.
The Stripe Bidder Verification module will require your Bidders provide card details that are then checked and validated by Stripe. Bidders who verify a card successfully are auto-approved to interact with your Auctions (Bid, Buy, submit offers etc.), whilst Bidders who Fail or Skip Verification are placed in Insufficient Data status and are unable to interact with your Auctions until they are manually Approved by one of your Dashboard Admins.
What does it cost?
Nothing.
Setting up a Stripe account is free and our module is only checking the card the Bidders provides to make sure it’s valid. Your Bidders are not charged for using this service, and neither are you.
Do all Bidders have to go through Verification?
If you’ve been with us for a while and you’ve built up a large Bidder list, don’t worry. To make it easier for your existing Bidders, we can set a Auto-Verified cut-off point, so only new Bidders past a certain point (such as a sign-up date chosen by you) will have to pass through the Verification module.
All Bidders from prior to the cut-off point will see the “You’ve been successfully verified” message and can register for your Auctions as normal.
Setup Requirements
To use the new Webtron Stripe Bidder Verification module, you’ll need:
A Stripe account (fully verified)
At least one active Email Address to receive User Registration Alert notifications
We divide the Bidder Verification module setup into 4 phases:
Your Stripe Account Setup (if you don’t already have one)
The API Key and Webhook Exchange
Email Notification Setup
Testing and Certification (by us)
We’ll assist you through each of the phases (and have guides for each as well) but we do require a minimum of 72 hours for the Testing and Certification phase, during which we’ll run the module through this checklist:
We’ll confirm with you as soon as the Verification module has passed the testing checklist, then we’ll enable the module on your go.
